I started with the anterior view of the body. The proportioning system I used was the seven and a half heads method.

The torso muscles, shapes are recognizable on the surface, unlike the facial region. Some of the superficial muscles are already known by most people, like the shoulder muscle, the chest muscle, the abs or six-pack, and the flank pad or love handles. The muscles of the torso do not move just the torso but also the shoulder girdle, as well as the upper arms.

There are many ways to categorize the torso muscles. One way is to group them by the location in the front of the body, or nearer to the head or forepart, from side to side, and further back regions of the body. They can also be classified by the body structure (the stomach region, the shoulder blade which is located in the upper back, the muscles that connect the front walls of the chest with the bones of the upper arm and shoulder) or by the placement in relation to the surface (the superficial layer which is the structure which is more externally than another, or closer to the surface of the body, the intermediate layer which is the middle layer, and then you have the deep layer).
