Framed Pots

Artist: Pieter Lategan
Title: Framed Pots
Medium: A4 Paper Charcoal

I started with my first charcoal sketch which is pots.  The sketch has an Africa look and feel.  I play with the frame concept where I got the idea from the movie “In the Mood of Love” a Chinese movie which is directed by Wong Kar-wai and got an award for the Best Actor.
What the analysis is for “the double frames by placing objects in the foreground the director enhances the feeling that the characters have to be observed but also the viewer’s feelings.”

Everybody lives in frames sometimes the frames are made by us, sometimes it is made by others. Sometimes we need to believe it is made by us or by others. There is no way out of the frame.

I sprayed three coats, after the third one it did not smash anymore.
(Artwork was done 1 January 2017)  I signed it as Donjon.
