Personal Notes

I did not work for a few days, I watched movies, and look at the news. I thought of doing shapes and I always like metal, what I mean by that is the material. It is very forgiving and when you make mistakes when you work with the metal it is easy to correct it. So that is the main reason why I like metal. I draw a few sketches to get a feeling of how it can look like by using a pencil. I made use of shadings to get curve shapes.

Personal Notes:

I draw this evening just a face, a normal plain sketch which I got from Pinterest. It is simple, it is a line sketch without shading nothing extra, just a face. It does not even look exactly like the image which I got from the internet, but it was just to draw something tonight. Now you ask yourself what do I mean? I need self-confidence because I really do struggle at times. The question is, is my heart in this, or just my mind? The other question is, why do I want to draw faces?

Throughout these years, I just draw and paint what I feel, I am not talking about my work as a medalist or a graphic designer. What I mean by that is what I did when I studied and when I did sketches and painting on my own. It never felt for me that my artworks are working and are sellable. That is why I ask myself is my heart in to portrait sketches? I must say I don’t really believe it. What I know is that this year that was passing I learned so much about faces, figures, eyes, noses, mouths, and ears. That it becomes for me a passion that I learned to have. I started to develop an interest.

When you do something or if you want to do something, you not always sure if you are going to do the right thing. To know if you are going to make a success of the work is to learn and to learn and to fall in love with your work. I think this happens now with me and I can’t leave my work alone. My dream is to draw or paint the perfect line for a face sketch or a painting.

I started this blog/website last year in November 2019 and it was such a wonderful journey for me. If I think back it was hard work, it was frustration, it was asking myself can I draw? Will I make a success? Everyone wants to be a success and I think that everyone needs to experience the feeling of success. Also to be happy and thankful for what we have and can do and able to learn.

A lot of things in my life is their gaps, and not to have children, a family or mother and father in law, cats, dogs make life empty. But this empty space which I live in creates for me a place which became positive and I was able to start doing my work as an artist. This empty space gave me the motivation to fill it with something, it was anything, sorrow, happiness, hate, love, everything that I am today. In this empty space, I find things that made my life full and gave me opportunities to do things that other people could not do.

You don’t have to be hard on yourself it is ok, I only draw tonight a line face sketch which I got from the internet…

Personal Notes

This one took me two days, but I was busy with other things so that is why I skip a day. This morning I was up at around 2:30 AM and started to finish the sketch.

I am happy with the work, it is mostly a line sketch and you need to have a deep understanding of shading. That I still struggle with. What I mean by that is that you need to bring the dark areas out and leave the white areas as is. That is difficult to do, it feels like I lost concentration, but there is a lot of things that I need to learn and to look at while I am drawing. So I think with time I will give a better quality product or artwork.

I think the idea is there, it is just now that I have to master the idea, good ideas are a start for quality sketches.

That is basically my style that I am going to take forward and will continue working on this type of line artwork slash shading.
